1. Introduction
ESTERO is a marshland 300 Hectare aquiculture facility that was leased by MBI in 2018 and is being set to produce prawn (Penaneus Japonicus), with the capacity to produce other valuable species. The most characteristic aspect of ESTERO is the efficiency and quality of their production, based on a natural environment created in the marshland near the sea. They are purely sustainable and based in natural conditions of the environment. This way the fish produced are of the highest quality.
2. Location
The farm is located on the marshland of San Fernando near Cadiz in Spain
3. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The facility has been set by MBI to operate as a prawn farm together with other projected facilities to support production like hatchery, processing facilities and R&D.
Fish produced by ESTERO are controlled and certified to preserve the highest quality standards. Excellent climate conditions, warm, and influenced by the Mediterranean make production feasible during the whole year.
